Your data security is our top priority. EverTrade follows NIST 800-88 guidelines and documents every device with serial numbers, method, and date.

Data Destruction Methods

Software Sanitization (NIST 800-88 Clear)

Multi-pass overwrite with a verification pass. Suitable for drives being resold or redeployed. Certificate of Sanitization provided.

Degaussing (NIST 800-88 Purge)

Electromagnetic degaussing destroys all magnetic data. Renders magnetic drives unreadable. Appropriate for HIPAA, SOX, and similar requirements.

Physical Shredding (NIST 800-88 Destroy)

Industrial shredding of hard drives and SSDs. On-site and off-site options available. Serial numbers recorded on the Certificate of Destruction.

Chain of Custody

Every device is tracked from pickup through final disposition:

  1. Intake — Equipment cataloged with asset tags and serial numbers
  2. Segregation — Data-bearing devices separated and secured
  3. Data Destruction — Chosen method applied per your requirements
  4. Documentation — Photos, serial numbers, and method recorded
  5. Certificate — Certificate of Destruction or Sanitization issued
  6. Final Disposition — Equipment recycled, resold, or disposed of per your instructions
