What is electronics recycling?

Electronics recycling (e-waste recycling) is the process of recovering, repurposing, or safely disposing of electronic equipment like computers, servers, networking hardware, and other IT assets. Responsible recycling keeps hazardous materials out of landfills and recovers valuable resources.

What is IT Asset Disposition (ITAD)?

ITAD is a documented process for securely retiring business technology. EverTrade's service can include pickup, inventory support, chain of custody, data sanitization or physical destruction, and responsible downstream recycling. EverTrade does not buy equipment or offer revenue sharing.

Does EverTrade offer business pickup?

EverTrade offers on-site pickup for office cleanouts and qualifying commercial loads. Eligibility and pricing depend on equipment type, quantity, access, and distance from the Sugar Land facility.

What items do you accept for recycling?

Flat-screen TVs are $20 each. CRT TVs, CRT monitors, rear-projection TVs, and physical media such as tapes, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs are not accepted. VCR/VHS players and Blu-ray players are accepted. Check the current accepted-items page →

Do you recycle for residential customers?

Yes. Residents can drop off accepted electronics at 10100 Belknap Rd, Suite B5, Sugar Land, TX 77498. Most accepted items are free, and flat-screen TVs are $20 each.

Data Security

How do you handle data security?

EverTrade offers data sanitization and physical destruction workflows aligned to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2. The available method depends on media type and project requirements:

1. Software sanitization: Logical Clear or Purge for compatible media
2. Degaussing: Magnetic erasure for compatible magnetic media
3. Physical destruction: Destroy method for approved end-of-life media

A signed Certificate of Destruction is provided for every data destruction job. Serialized records are included when they are part of the agreed project scope.

Can I witness the destruction of my equipment?

No. EverTrade does not offer witnessed destruction. Customers receive documented processing and a signed Certificate of Destruction for the job.

What is a Certificate of Destruction?

A Certificate of Destruction is an official document that records:

• Serial numbers of all destroyed devices
• Method of destruction used
• Date and time of destruction
• Name of the technician who performed the destruction
• EverTrade's signature and attestation

Pickup & Logistics

How quickly can you pick up our equipment?

Timing depends on project scope and current availability. Approved business pickups are often scheduled within a few business days.

Do you provide bins or containers for collection?

Yes. For ongoing recycling programs, we can provide collection bins and containers at your facility.

What if we have equipment in multiple locations?

Pricing

Do you pay for equipment or offer buyback?

No. EverTrade does not buy equipment, pay cash for equipment, or offer resale revenue sharing. Our focus is secure, documented recycling and data destruction.

Is there a minimum volume for pickup?

Drop-off has no minimum. On-site business pickup is generally intended for pallet-sized or larger commercial loads, office cleanouts, IT refreshes, and decommissioning projects. Smaller loads may qualify for paid pickup.
